Matane (the "App") is a personal memo app for remembering conversations with people you meet again after a while. The App is designed around a simple principle: don't collect data.
The App does not collect any personal information or usage data from you.
If you use the optional paid plan (Matane Pro), limited information is sent to a payment management service to verify your purchase. See Section 6 for details.

All of these are optional, and the core features of the app work without granting any of them. The App never uses the camera or microphone, so it never requests those permissions.
About the passcode lock: You can set a 4-digit passcode specific to Matane. The developer can never know or recover this passcode. If you forget it, you can reset it from "Forgot passcode" on the lock screen after verifying your identity with your device's Face ID or passcode. There's no need to delete the app, and no data is lost.
From the Settings screen, you can export your data in two formats. Exporting only ever happens when you choose to do it.
Where an exported file is saved or shared is entirely up to your own actions. Handling by the destination service (iCloud Drive, email, another cloud storage provider, etc.) is governed by that service's own terms. When sharing a ZIP that includes photos, please make sure the destination and recipient are the ones you intend.
Restoring from a ZIP file replaces all of your existing data. The restore happens as a single operation; if it fails partway through, your data is rolled back to its state before the restore.
Tapping "Send Feedback" in Settings opens your device's default mail app. For troubleshooting purposes, the app version and your OS type/version are pre-filled into the message body, but whether you actually send the email, and whether you keep that text in the body, is entirely up to you. The app never sends email automatically.
The paid plan is offered through the App Store, and payment itself is processed by Apple. The developer never receives your payment information (such as your credit card number).
To verify that your purchased plan is active, the App integrates with a payment management service called RevenueCat (provided by RevenueCat, Inc.). Through this integration, the following information is sent to RevenueCat:
None of the people, meeting records, photos, or other data you've added to the App are ever included in this transmission. RevenueCat has no access whatsoever to the data inside the App.

The App never shares the people, notes, photos, or other data you've added with any third party. Aside from the purchase-verification exception described in Section 6, the App simply does not collect data in the first place.
The App is suitable for users of any age. As described above, the App does not collect information from any user.
If we change this policy — for example, when adding a new feature such as a paid plan — we will let you know within the App and on this page. If we ever add a feature that collects data, we will provide a clear explanation and an opportunity to consent beforehand.
